There’s not too much going on. I only wrote 2 days last week for total of 1745. That’s about half of what I would like to see on word count, but I’m still all about time instead of word count. So I was three days short of what I should have been writing. I’m still trying to get into the good habits again. I feel good about this week, though. I’m feeling more into to my WIP.
If you keep up with my blog, you know my husband cracked a bone in his ankle, so he’s on crutches. That’s caused me a little extra work, but I don’t mind at all. He’s always taking care of me. 🙂
I ordered the Flylady’s Office in a Bag with Control Journal. I’m trying to get my life under control. You know, the cleaning house part? Flylady is all about organization in all areas, but house cleaning is her main focus. We’ll see how that goes.
What’s up with ya’ll?
At least he’s getting some rest now. 🙂
I think I’ve been telling myself Flylady was for me since my eldest was a toddler. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten past the clean sink part. Lol.
It’s amazing, though, how good a clean sink can make us feel. And as she says, anyone can do just about anything for 15 minutes. Baby steps. 🙂
I just had a look at the FlyLady site there. I should follow some of her advice.
I love Flylady. I just hope I can actually stick to her “teachings” this time. Her holiday control journal helped me a lot with my Christmas shopping one year. So much less stress!
It’s a new week, we’ll do better this week (so easy to say on Sunday, but really this is the week I get it together)! So let’s review, busy work time and cracked husband; I think you’re doing great!
Well, I guess I have been dealing with a few things. LOL. I hope I’ll get it together better next week. And so will you!
Almost 1,800 words is pretty great for writing two days. Nice work! Glad you’re feeling more into your WIP; I bet the words flow this week. 🙂
I really wanted 3500 words, but I’ll take any words. The words usually start flowing better once I get into the story. What was GOING to be a paranormal romance might end up being horror. I can’t wait to see how this goes.
Next week will be a better writing week. it sounds like you’ve had a hectic one this past. Hope your hubby is feeling better sending prayers for a quick and full recovery 🙂
Thanks, Elise. We can use the prayers!
Any wordcount is worth celebrating. (At least, that’s how I see it!) Hopefully, you’ll manage more next week, even with your hubby’s ankle. Good luck!
Hi Kate! Another challenge this week is that we’re having a revival at church, so that means I’ll be getting home late Mon-Wed. The question is whether or not I can make myself write that late. I am NOT a night owl. LOL
Ugh, neither am I. when I try to write at night, my stories suffer, for sure! Hope it worked out for you. I’m sure I’ll find out today. 🙂
I so need Flylady – but for her to come round and do my housework, not for me to do it? !!! I’m shockingly inadequate. I did do a whirl around today while the dob was being castrated – it was the least I could do under the circumstances. 😀
Oh how I would love Flylady to come and clean my house…at no charge. LOL. I’m a terrible housekeeper, so I hope this organizational system will work for me. I got my Office in a Bag and Control Journal Saturday, so I’m anxious to get that all set up.
