It looks like the release date of Soul of a Vampire is going to have to be delayed. I had forgotten about our revival, so going to church every night made editing impossible. Also, I agreed to beta read, so I felt like I should get that done first. She’s always quick to get mine done. Not to mention that I’m REALLY enjoying the story! π I’m taking my laptop with me to Tallahassee in the morning, so hopefully I can get some things done while I’m gone this weekend. I’m taking Anya with me and we’re manning a booth, hopefully selling products from my day job. Something funny…one time I was at one of these shows, and we were so idle at our booth, that I wrote almost the entire short story, The Beast in the Mirror. So I MIGHT actually do some stuff while I’m sitting idly twiddling my thumbs working.
Have any of you that use Google Chrome for your browser had any problems with PubIt? I tried to log on to check my sales last night, and the login button wouldn’t work. I thought it must be a glitch. I tried again this evening with the same results. On a whim, I went to Internet Explorer and tried from that browser. No problems! Has PubIt decided it doesn’t like Chrome? I hate it when a site only works with certain browsers!
You just gave me the gift of the biggest grin! I sure appreciate your help with the beta read, Lauralynn. Sorry it means a delay for Soul of a Vampire. If you have the time, would you be working on another short, or that book your husband thought up? Or do you not even want to think about it and go with the moment? π
On PubIt, I have had trouble with that login button the last two days, and I use Safari. Firefox works fine.
I hadn’t tried Firefox.
Actually, I was going to wait until next week to start on my husband’s story since revival put me so far behind. So the editing of SoaV was the only thing that really got behind. And not that bad because I had just said today was a tentative release date. I’m fine with next week. I’m hoping hubby’s book will be a full length novel since I’ve proved with SoaV that I can still write novels. LOL
I’m not sure what PubIt is – I’m a bit behind modern technology π
Enjoy the weekend and hope you get some great business at your booth.
PubIt is Barnes & Noble, like KDP is Amazon.
Thanks, I hope the show makes my boss a little money.
I hate it when release dates get pushed back on my books, so I can imagine your frustration. I just tell myself that some things are worth waiting for, and your book qualifies. π I was telling my friend at lunch today about your book, and she loved the plot. It’s definitely a must read.
Thank you, Ruth. You just made me smile! I hope to have it published by the end of this week. Something has been going on every night this week…rush from the day job, come home, go do something else. Hopefully, that will all be over with after Saturday’s church thing we do for the older people. Rehearsal is tonight. π
