When Kait, Susan, and I were together a few weeks ago, I was complaining because my back list was selling better than my Libby Fox novellas, which were newer. Books that I know aren’t as good as the Libby Fox series were selling better. Kait suggested that I compile the three novellas into one book and see how that worked. I figured it wouldn’t hurt, so that’s what I did. The Libby Fox novellas are now together in Vampires’ Curse. This is the first book I’ve ever uploaded with the $2.99 price. It’s still less expensive than buying all three novellas separately. ($1.98 savings.) The book went live on Smashwords last night and Amazon this morning. Here is the cover (yes, I love those sexy, romantic covers with Jimmy Thomas on them, so sue me) and the links. I’m curious as to how this experiment will go. I just hope that people who have already bought the three novellas make sure they read the description and don’t buy this thinking it’s a new book.
Yay it’s out! I really enjoyed designing this cover, Lauralynn. It’s one of my favorites!
The only reason you like this one is because you can see Jimmy up close. LOL
And the problem with that is???? 😉
LOL.
Oh! I do love that Jimmy Thomas…;}
I like the idea of three novellas in one …if/when I ever get three historical novellas I’m going to offer the same type of book. And it’s great to have the savings of buying all three at once. Keep me posted with it!
Oh, Nadja, isn’t he beautiful? 🙂
Other authors have done this before, so we’ll see how it works.
That is a great cover! I don’t see how anyone could logically complain that they didn’t know these are the three books of your series since you spelled it out in the descriptions and put it on the cover. Could you tell me when it’s on B&N so I can post it on the Bargain Books for Your Nook blog, and I’ll put it up for a week as a cover ad on that blog, too. In case you don’t know what blog I’m talking about, here’s the link: http://bargainbooksforyournook.com/ (The cover ad would go to the right side and would link to the B&N page.) You can just leave me a blog comment on my blog to let me know your book is on B&N. I’ll go hunt it down and do the rest. 🙂
BTW, do you prefer I buy this for myself off of Smashwords or Amazon? Is there one place that would help you more than another?
Ruth, you’re such a sweetie! I knew about the Nook thing, and I had meant to participate, but I got slammed here at work and could barely do anything. 🙂
B & N is slower about getting books on their site. Amazon is MUCH faster than it used to be. I’ll let you know when it’s on B & N.
I would PREFER that you let me give you a coupon code for Smashwords in exchange for putting it on the Bargain Books site! 🙂
Since I already replied about the Smashwords coupon, I won’t repeat myself here. However, I think your book will be up in the second week of April. Rose has posts scheduled up to April 4, and I have a couple of books sitting in drafts. Now that I know your book is on B&N, I’m making a draft right now. I already told Rose to expect it.
Thank you, Ruth!
Hot cover! Anya scores again. I hope the compilation does well for you.
Ooh, thanks, Michelle! 🙂
You’re welcome. You’ve definitely got a good flair for eye-catching covers. 🙂
I hope the compilation does better than the novellas. I still don’t get why Guardian Vampire did so much better than these Libby Fox novellas. It’s so funny, I was kind of iffy about this cover, but several people have said they like it. Of course, what’s not to like about Jimmy? 🙂
