First…if you haven’t checked out my previous post for today, do it! There’s a giveaway! When I scheduled that post, I had forgotten it was the same day as a ROW80 check in day. But I HAD to do it today because, well, it’s my birthday. 🙂
Anyway, back to the subject of this post. I’m a little bit ahead of my cumulative word count. I didn’t do my 30 minutes a day on proofing the print book, but I spent about an hour and a half on it today, so I made up for a few days. I’ve enjoyed this proofing because I had forgotten how much I loved one of the stories in this collection, See Me. It has a little more humor than most of my books. Exercise and housework has been a massive fail. And I have an excuse for this. I got hooked on The Vampire Diaries and was watching several episodes a night on Netflix. That show is addictive. I’m happy to say that I’m caught up now and will only be watching it once a week on TV. I’m watching the original Dark Shadows on Netflix now, but I’m not getting caught up in it, so next week I’ll be taking time to do what I’m supposed to instead of drooling over Damon watching The Vampire Diaries.
Anybody doing better than me on exercise? I hope so!
Happy Birthday! You sound productive despite the Vampire Diaries addiction. It’s been a while since I got sucked into a show. I might have to check that out.
Have a magnificent day!
Thank for the birthday wishes, Heather. I was productive in some ways, and not so much in others. I’m going to have to be careful and not get so involved in a show like that for awhile. If I had just been watching it on TV, it wouldn’t have been so bad, but Netflix enables us to watch episode after episode. The Vampire Diaries are just sooooo addictive.
Happy Birthday! Sounds like you got some stuff done despite watching TVD. I’ve never seen the show, but I can completely understand being distracted by Ian Somerholder. Enjoy!
Thanks, Stacy! I balked against watching it for a long time, but so many people kept talking about it. When I signed up for Netflix…well, that’s when the trouble started. LOL. And Ian…just wow.
Oh man, getting sucked into a good tv show with lots of episodes is both the best and the worst. I’m in the middle of going through the Gilmore Girls on DVD. 🙂
I really, really loved getting involved with the show. It just took up so much of my time! I thought I was going to have to go to TV rehab. LOL
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! TV can be a enjoyable break from writing (and a time suck). I’m going to have less resistance tomorrow night when Being Human starts back up and next month when the Walkind Dead returns.
Michelle, now that I’ve watched all of The Vampire Diaries episodes, I’ll be watching it on TV once a week. But then there’s Person of Interest, Hawaii Five-O, Grimm, Once Upon a Time, Criminal Minds, CSI, The Mentalist…. Whew, maybe I need to cut out some of these.
Yay, happy birthday! I haven’t watched the Vampire Diaries yet, but it’s been on my to-do list, since all my friends tell me that I’ll love it. Last month I plowed my way through the first 2 seasons of Being Human (the UK version) in about two days, so I totally understand what happens when a television show grabs you and you just need more. 😀
I’ll probably check out Being Human, too. But I need to get busy on some other things before committing to another show. I was having Vampire Diaries marathons. Apparently, you were having your own marathons. LOL
Happy birthday 🙂
Great job on your goals. Progress is success in my book. That said, tomorrow you will exercise *swirly eyes of hypnosis* Just kidding. The first day is the hardest but if you find a way to be consistent with it the dividends for your health and productivity are huge.
Have a fantastic week, Lauralynn 🙂
Thanks, Gene! I might just need those swirly eyes of hypnosis. LOL. I used to exercise all the time, but I got out of the habit. I hurt my shoulder tonight and it’s pretty painful right now. So I guess there won’t be any weight lifting. I guess it’s just the treadmill for now.
Happy Birthday 🙂
Thanks, Ryan!
Happy Birthday! Yay!
My 12 year old and I got sucked into The Vampire Diaries for awhile, then I don’t know what happened. But now I want to again! Good for you with what you have accomplished. And, frankly, I think we need some goofing off time — it fills the well.
Thanks, Amy! Isn’t it amazing how we can get sucked into a story and want more, more, more? 🙂 And I agree…sometimes we need to goof off just a little.
