I honestly thought I would feel much better by now. However, I got steadily worse. I finally went to the doctor today and ended up getting a breathing treatment, a steroid shot, and a chest x-ray. They gave me a prescription for an antibiotic, cough syrup, and an inhaler. The inhaler cost $50! I don’t know the results of my x-ray yet, but I’m hoping it’s a bad case of bronchitis and not pneumonia. When I exhale, there’s this strange wheezing sound in my chest. I could barely sleep last night because of the sound.
Anyway, enough whining. I just wanted to let everyone know why I’m not around the internet much right now. I feel pretty miserable. And I hate not being able to do things I want to do! Grrrrr.
Another thing about today. We’ve already had tornadoes here and more are expected tonight. While I was in the doctor’s office, one was spotted close by and they made everyone get into one interior room. Just think…all those sick people packed in together, germs spreading everywhere. *shudders*
Hope you feel better soon, sweetie!! *hugs*
Thank you, Sharon!
😦 What the hell is wrong with them cramming all you sickies into one room?? Feel better soon.. 😀
Hi Darlene. I guess they figured catching something was better than getting injured in a tornado. I think they tried to get us into an interior room that was safer.
Thanks for the good wishes! 🙂
Oh feel better honey!
Thanks, Kait. It’s been an…interesting…day.
Yikes! Scary weather on top of being sick. I hope you feel better very soon.
Drat, why is it making me approve your comment again?
Thanks, Michelle. I’m watching the radar closely. I have no basement in my house, so this always makes me nervous. Especially after the devastation in my county last year.
I’ve never used an inhaler before. It’s kind weird.
Get better soon! Wishing you calm amidst the storms.
Thanks, J.R.! We just got through a bad round of storms. More coming.
Aw, no. I hope you’re feeling much better soon. Sending you good vibes.
Thank you, Claire. 🙂
So sorry to hear you are not feeling better. I hope this treatment from the doctor gets you back to health and soon.
Tornadoes, that’s one positive of living in The Netherlands, we don’t have tornadoes. Good luck and I hope they are nothing major.
Thanks, Alex. I’m feeling a little better.
There was one really bad moment last night when i found out there was a tornado spotted on my road. Fortunately, it was east of my house and moving farther east.
Glad you are feeling better and all these tornadoes are past us now. Felt good to get up to a sunny morning today!
Thanks, Anya. And thanks for texting me during the storm so I wouldn’t feel like I was all alone. I’m glad we got through all that mess! The sunny morning was great, wasn’t it?
Be careful, Lauralynn…from what I hear, pnemonia has been rampant this year! Sure hope you are feeling better soon.
The doctor still hasn’t called with the results of my xray. But I’m taking strong antibiotics and trying to get a lot of rest. I hate being sick. I have too much to do!
I hope you remained safe from all of the tornadoes and are feeling better now, Lauralynn!
Thanks, Tiffany! There was a tornado on my road, but it was east of me and heading east. Whew! And I am feeling better. 🙂
