These were my goals for this round:
1. Write at least 500 words per day as an average. Did it!
2. Publish the third Libby Fox novella during Round 4. Done! Title: Search for the Vampires’ Curse
3. Publish Starfane in print sometime during Round 4. Check.
4. Publish a collection of three of my novellas in print during Round 4 (if my cover artist and I can get together on this one that soon). I didn’t get this done, so it will carry over to the next round.
5. Exercise at least three times a week, for 30 minutes at a time, so that I’ll feel better and get my writing goals accomplished more easily. Massive fail!
The first three goals were the most important to me, so I feel like I did okay this round. Now I need to think about my goals for the next round, which will be stated when that round starts. It’s been fun!
Not too shabby if you ask me. Congratulations on a good round!
Thank you, Heather! 🙂
Squeezing in exercise is a recurring epic battle. Honestly, I’ve not been doing so well these last few weeks either. There are cookies, and fudge, and cookies. Also, there are cookies. And really, who has the time or desire to work out when there are cookies to be slayed!
Fortunately, it is also a time-honored tradition for people to assist in cookie slaying with gifts of new clothes with epic abilities like “expanding waistline +3 inches.” Yeah, awesome.
At least my fingers are in really, really good shape from all the keyboard pounding :-).
Seriously though, you knocked your other goals out without the jolt of energy that comes from regular exercise, which is a good thing. Think of how much more productive you’ll be when stuff lines up! Besides, this is a “challenge,” right? If you just nailed all the goals it wouldn’t be very challenging or something. Just say you were preserving the challenge’s reputation.
Have a great holiday and see you in 2012!
I just love the way you think, Matt. Although, I’m more of a pizza slayer myself. Because, you know, I get so busy Christmas shopping, I have to pick up a pizza because it’s quick. Really.
Yes, I’m preserving the reputation of the challenge. That’s exactly it. That’s why I only met 3 out of 5 goals.
I’m looking forward to 2012, Round One!
You did really well! Congrats! Hope you are able to move along into the next challenge.
Thanks, Laurel. I plan on jumping into the next challenge full force! LOL
Congratulations. 3 out of 5 isn’t bad. Good luck with your goals in 2012. I think we are all going to be including exercise in our goals. 🙂
Thanks, Robin! I’m pretty pleased with 3 out of 5. 🙂
Excellent work! I am looking forward to knowing you during ROW80 Round 1! YAYAY for word-love!
Thanks, Julie! I look forward to seeing you around in ROW80 next year!
