On the writing…even though I skipped those three days, I’m 563 words ahead of my goal. I sat down last night, not sure where I was going with the story, then suddenly over 1300 words burst out of me. LOL. I would really like to get ahead even more this week so I won’t feel pressure about it while I’m in Disney World next week.
On the exercise…as I said in yesterday’s post, I got up yesterday morning and walked 20 minutes on the treadmill. I woke up this morning, planning on doing it again today. However, I immediately realized why I woke up before the alarm went off. I had a horrible headache. So I had to go back to bed for awhile. I took something, but I’m still fighting the headache here at work. So I don’t think I’ll do a lot today. 😦
I feel bad about something. Almost a week ago, L.S. Engler nominated me for a versatile blogger award. I feel bad that I’m just now acknowledging that. I’ve just been so busy, and very frustrated with my internet at home. So, anyway, here’s what I have to do.
1. Thank the person who nominated you. Thank you so much, L.S.!
2. Pass this award along. I’m like L.S., I can’t possibly pass it along to as many people as I would like. So I’ll nominate Kait Nolan, Susan Bischoff, C.M. Cipriani, E. A. West, and Tiffany White. I know some of you are very, very busy, so I will not be in the least offended if you don’t pass this along. I completely understand. I just wanted to let you guys know that I think you come up with some really cool posts.
3. List seven things about yourself. This is the hardest part, but here goes:
1) I’m a Christian
2) My favorite musical group is The Beatles
3) My favorite author is Stephen King
4) I’m very claustrophobic
5) My two favorite shows ever are Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Moonlight
6) I have two other businesses: an Etsy shop where I sell eggshell ornaments and jewelry; and I sell Mary Kay cosmetics.
7) I have a wonderful husband, and two great boys, ages 29 and 22.
Wow…I didn’t realize how boring I was.
Yay for your nomination! And you’re not boring. It’s just hard to come up with stuff about yourself when have to sit and think about it!
Thanks, Anya. I just couldn’t think of anything really interesting about me. I probably will later. 🙂
You are hardly boring. Congrats on the nomination.
Well, maybe I wouldn’t be so boring if people knew the stuff I COULDN’T tell. LOL
Congrats on the award and wonderful nominees! 🙂 You are doing ahhhmazing with your ROW80 progress – woot woot! So pleased…keep up the great work – we are all cheering you on!
Disney World next week – I am soooooooooooooo jealous!
Thanks for your support, Hartford! I just love this group!
I’m so excited about Disney World, I can barely sit still. 🙂
Love bursts of creativity. If only they weren’t so… bursty.
Grats on the award!
Also, big Angel fan here.
That is all. Have a great week! 🙂
Yeah, creativity is like that. So you have to take it when it comes. 🙂
Thanks.
I love Angel, too.
I am currently reading The Binders Daughter. 😉
*Much Clapping* Hope you enjoy it!
So far, I’m loving it. 🙂
Did you say eggshell ornaments? I LOVE ornaments 🙂 I may have to order some for Christmas! I’m a huge Etsy fan!! And PS: I had to do a guest post for my blog tour, on what I do when not writing and I basically had nothing…writing IS what I do when I’m not working my other jobs…
I’m getting ready to put all of my ornaments I’ve done up on Etsy, maybe this week. If you want, I’ll email you a link to my Etsy shop when I get that done. Since my best friend died, I’ll be taking her baskets off the site and changing the name of my shop. 😦
I have to do more than one or two things. I like variety. LOL
Congratulations on your nomination! You are definitely a hard working writer and a great blogger.
Thanks, M.R. I had never thought of myself as a versatile blogger, so I was thrilled when L.S. nominated me. 🙂
I can’t believe another moonlight fan! Yeaaaa! My daughter sells jewelry on etsy too. My name is moremoonlight and only a true fan understands the meaning, lol. Welcome to the club.
Anyway keep writing and keep us updated on libby fox series. And I hope the vamp gets the girl.
I knew there had to be more Moonlight fans out there! In my opinion, there has never been a sexier vampire than Mick St. John. Alex O’Loughlin is the reason I started watching Hawaii Five-O. 🙂
One thing you can always count on in my paranormal romances…there will always be a happy ending. Now if I start writing some horror, maybe not. LOL
I always enjoy when blogger/writers share tidbits about themselves. And no, your life doesn’t sound boring at all!
Sounds like you’re doing well in your goals…never mind the occasional day off.
Hi, Laurel.
I absolutely love hearing things about other writers. One thing that’s always interesting to me…sometimes when people use initials, i’m not sure if they’re male or female. So I keep watching things they say and can usually figure it out. But it would be really nice if they would somehow let people know their gender. LOL. So that’s one of the things I like to hear about.
Thanks, I’m doing ok so far. And I really don’t feel guilty taking days off if I can stay on track.
I’m definitely female! If my gravatar works this time, it will be a giveaway. (Unless it looks like a cross-dressing faery. LOL.)
Ha ha M.R. I k ow you’re female. Lol
And apparently I can’t type on my phone very well.
Boo! I’ll keep trying to figure it out.
Now?
Still no gravatar. Hmmm.
Congratulations on your blog award! I got one of those once, but didn’t do a thing with it, except say “thank you.” So I’m worse than you. hehe A Christian Stephen King fan? That’s not boring. That’s novel material. 😉
And that 1300-word burst . . ooooh I’m jealous now. I’ll have to work up a few note-worthy bursts of my own next month for NaNo.
I know lots of Christians who are Stephen King fans! LOL. I promise we don’t all walk around in Puritan dresses with frowns on our faces. Hahahahahaha. Some of my Christian friends are the reason I write under a pen name. Some of them (not many) have problems with paranormal fiction. I don’t know why. After all, it’s FICTION. 🙂
When I was doing NaNo, I had to write 1667 words every day to make the 50,000 words in 30 days. That was way too much pressure for me. If I didn’t have a full time job, I think I could manage it without the stress, but I just don’t have time to do it while I’m working. Good luck with NaNo!
Congrats on the award (I’m sadly a few weeks late posting on one). My writing comes at me like yours did last week… in spurts I can’t always control. I’m trying to learn to enjoy it when it’s flowing and not stress too much when it’s not (or life is getting in the way).
Hope you are having a good week-end!
Hi Tia.
It’s funny how our writing does that. Productive days and not so productive days. I’ve learned to not stress much at all. It makes life easier. 🙂
I plan on having a great weekend. Disney World, here I come!
Very good check-in. Nice word count! And I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who keeps putting of a blog award. I received two recently and have only gotten around to following through with one. Shame on me! Glad to hear you are doing so well. Keep up the good work!
Thanks, Wendy!
I thought I was the only one that put off stuff like that. LOL
