I’m a day late checking in. I was in meetings, then on airplanes. And I didn’t write a single word on my trip to New Orleans. I did okay when I was in North Carolina last week, but on this trip, they kept me out too late every night and I couldn’t hold my eyes open long enough to write. I had a little word cushion going, but now I’m behind on word count. But I know I can build that back up soon, so I’m not stressing about it at all.
I didn’t encounter any of the rumored ghosts while staying at Hotel Monteleone, but it was cool learning about the history. And I still think it’s funny that someone at our convention cancelled their reservation because he said he wouldn’t be able to sleep knowing that ghosts may be there.
And one last thing. I had the best seafood meal in, I believe, my entire life while I was there. If any of you ever get to New Orleans, try Deanie’s Seafood Restaurant. Totally awesome!
*Word cushion envy.* =P
Well done on keeping it up!
You’ve made me crave a seafood pizza.
Thanks!
I love seafood…but not on a pizza. LOL
Glad you enjoyed your trip. Yum, seafood that close to the ocean is always good.
Life happens sometimes so that’s why you don’t put things off because you never know when you might should have gone ahead and done something. Haha…look here coming from the world’s best procrastinator!
Anyway, I’m sure you’ll get all caught back up now that you are home. Sorry you didn’t meet any ghosts. Would have been cool to have an interview for a book. 😀
Hey, someone has already done Interview with a Vampire. Maybe I should do Interview with a Ghost. LOL
There’s an idea.
I’ll bet your head’s brewing with ideas after your trip. Glad it was a good time.
A great time. Now I need to get back on track with my WIP.
No ghost!?! Total bummer. 🙂 I lived in a haunted house twice in my lifetime. Way cool. Anyway, my schedule is getting ready to change where I am working mostly on the weekends. That said, your schedule sounds way more hectic than mine.
Yeah, I should have gone to the 14th floor at midnight if only to see how many more people were up there looking around. LOL
My schedule is about to get more hectic. During the spring season, I end up taking a lot of work home with me. I don’t know how that’s going to affect writing, but I need to make some priorities. I guess that’s something we all need to do.
That’s funny that someone was too afraid of a ghost to stay there. In a paranormal haven like New Orleans it seems more likely that someone would say, “What? You don’t have a ghost at this hotel? I’m not staying here.”
I know, I thought the ghost thing was cool. Oh, well, I guess he was just nervous about it. :0)
