Well, so far, my plan for the week has been adhered to. EVEN with obstacles. I had everything all planned out, workout, supper, cleaning the kitchen, reading my WIP and making notes. Then hubby comes up with “We need to watch something on the DVR”. (It’s getting full.) With an exasperated sigh, I acquiesced, stating that I had my evening all planned out, but that I would adjust things and just work a little later. Then, during an episode of Falling Skies, he FELL ASLEEP. Yeah, he really wanted to watch this with me.
Anyway, I did read my WIP and DID take notes. I wrote up a character list, which I should have already done, but I usually end up introducing characters as the story goes on, and it’s easier for me to add them to the list later. I wrote up some notes, which really means, I wrote up a list of questions, some I could answer, some I couldn’t yet.
Okay, so tonight I planned to do some rough outlining. Then I remembered I was supposed to work late tonight, trying to fix our computers. The last time I tried this, I was here until after 8:00. *head desk*
Oh well, if this doesn’t go smoothly tonight, I’m not staying that late. I hope not, anyway. Grrrrr.
Yay on progress and adhering to your goals! I had to laugh, though. It’s usually me who falls asleep during shows/movies.
Oh, I fall asleep, too. But he was so insistent that we had to watch something, THEN he fell asleep. I felt like it wasted my time.
How was Falling Skies? LOL on him falling asleep. I thought that was hilarious since he wanted to do it. 😀
I had to go through and read some of my WIP last night and still haven’t picked up from where I left off. I think after we’ve been away from a project, it takes time to get back into it. Good luck and hope you don’t have to stay too late!
I love Falling Skies. We (I mean I, LOL) watched the first episode of the season. There are two more on our DVR.
I was afraid I wouldn’t be happy with the first 17K that I wrote, but when I read it over, I actually liked it. 🙂
I didn’t stay too late. I made everyone shut down their computers about 2:30 since there was no one to stay with me, and my boss won’t let me stay alone. I got most of it done during work hours. It was raining, so we didn’t have a single customer during the time the computers were down. So I only stayed 40 minutes over. *does a happy dance*
Way to go LL! Hope the rest of the week goes the way of your plan as well. Still flying by the seat of my pants here, but it’s a fun ride.
I hope I can stick to the plan. All it takes is just doing it.
I usually fly by the seat of my pants, too, but if I don’t do some planning, my WIP is going to be a mess. I’m still trying to figure out how I’m going to do some things in the story.
