I love living in the South. And I love living out in the country. I love the green trees and the flowers in the spring and summer. I love listening to the crickets and the tree frogs. I love to hear the hoot owl that lives in the tree close by my house. I have pictures. 🙂

My favorite right now is going outside and seeing how the garden changes daily, the veggies are all so lush and finally growing now that warmer weather has stuck around.
Orange tree we planted a little over a year ago smells so wonderful and fruity right now and it should be full of blooms for the bees to enjoy soon.
All time happiest say though is when furst hummingbirds finally appear, just two weeks ago they finally showed up and now hit the nectar feeder daily!
I just bought a hummingbird feeder. I had regular feeders, but I wanted to see the little hummingbirds this year. I love spring and summer!
And although it has been rainy yucky today it does make all the green…well….greener! 😉
I like the rain when it’s warm. This rain is cold. Blackberry winter!
How pretty!!!!!!! You’re ahead of us in the season, up in Michigan, the tulips are just starting to blossom up and my apple blossoms should be opening up soon. LOVE the irises. So pretty. 🙂
We have all the early blooming flowers, but the roses aren’t really blooming well yet. The Cherry Parfait is the only one with buds ready to bloom. Around here, roses are usually ready by Mother’s Day, which is next Sunday. The pear blossoms around here are awesome right now.
That’s interesting. Around here, Mother’s Day is the first weekend you “might” be able to plant flowers, though you still need to keep an eye out for frost until Memorial Day.

I think every place has it’s own special charm. But I will admit, I love the green most of all. I enjoy going on vacation to the sandy beach, but I’m always glad to get home.
I’d love to have woods by my house. Might inspire me to write more.
I love the woods. We took the drapes down in my office, and I have these big windows next to my desk. I really don’t want new curtains. I want to leave it as it is. Hubby wants curtains. Maybe if I play the “we can’t afford it” card, he’ll let me have the open windows. LOL
