Actually, I don’t really have a lot to update. I hope to get back to my Thursday-Saturday writing schedule this week. My WIP has been on my mind, so I guess that’s a good sign. I almost have my office arranged the way I want it, so the writing might be easier.
Hubby is still improving. He had a really rough night a couple of days ago, his chest hurting so badly, I thought I was going to have to take him to the emergency room. We were afraid another clot from his leg had detached and went to his lung. However, when he went to the dr. the next morning for his biweekly blood test, his lung x-ray was actually better. The dr. said he thought hubby had a rib out of whack and did an adjustment. He felt much better after that. Plus, he still has pleurisy from the whole lung ordeal. He REALLY wants to get back to work.
Speaking of back to work…that’s where I am, so I better get to it so I won’t get any further behind.
Slowly things will get back to normal. Yeah for normal. Hmmm, I’m at work too, I should get back to that.
I am SO ready for normal.
Rib out of whack? That gives me an uncomfortable image of a doctor placing a foot on your husband’s chest and pulling or using a hammer and a mallet to make an adjustment. (I’m guessing it was a much simpler procedure 🙂
I’m glad to hear that he is feeling better.
That mental image cracked me up, Michelle.
Thank goodness it turned out to be the rib. I don’t blame your husband for wanting to get back to work. It’s hard to sit around all day. Plus, if you go to work, it means you’re well enough to go to work.
I hope you can get some writing done. If nothing else, it’d be nice to escape from all the stress you’ve dealt with.
He’s still feeling pretty good, Ruth. The doctor is going to let him go back to work soon. He’s really happy about that. His blood has thinned to an acceptable level, and he’s no longer short of breath.
I hope to get some writing done tonight. Keep your fingers crossed. Oh, you can cross your eyes, too, if you want. 🙂
I’m glad your hubby’s on the mend, although a rib out whack sounds REALLY painful. Eeek!
Thanks, Juli. Yes, it was VERY painful. He had tears. My husband rarely has tears.
Glad to hear your husband’s feeling better and looking forward to going back to work. That’s such a vast improvement! Although it’s probably better for him to just take it easy for now to give his body the time it needs to heal. Still, on a mental level, it’s a great sign.
Hope you’re feeling better, too, and managing to get some down time. Take care.
Thanks, Lisa. He’s on the mend. I told my husband today that bad things have been happening since November, and it was time for good things to happen for awhile!
