Ok, I’m a day late. And I also want to apologize for being such a bad sponsor these past couple of check ins. As most of you know, I was in Disney World, and I had no internet access without paying for it. Not only that, I didn’t get in the hotel room until late every night, and I crashed immediately each time. What little I did get to do was from my phone waiting on rides, etc. But using the internet on a phone is a big PAIN. I hate it! Hopefully, I’ll get a chance to check on a lot of you today or tonight.
Anyway, I’m back in the saddle. I’m still trying to catch up on my word count since I didn’t write for eight days while I was gone. And I didn’t write last night because my wrist was hurting from trying to open a jar of spaghetti sauce. That’s what I get for not making it from scratch! LOL. I emailed my WIP to myself last night so I can work on it at lunch today to make up for not writing last night.
How are the rest of you doing?
I hope you had a great time at Disney! I’ve been dying to go again for quite some time. Catching up isn’t fun but at least you’re willing to do it. Good luck!
I had a wonderful time at Disney! 🙂
I was so far ahead in the last round of ROW80 that it feels strange being behind like this. I MUST get back on track!
I imagine you’re happy to be back to your normal routine. Says homebody me. 🙂
You’ll catch up on word count in no time.
J.R., I’m definitely glad to be home. Although, I’m still singing “Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate’s life for me”. LOL
I know I’ll catch up. I just feel like this last book in the series is falling short. I want to get excited about it again. 🙂
Glad to hear you had a great time at Disney. I too email my wip back and for to my office. Just don’t make the mistake I did of opening the file, writing 3000 words, then saving with Ctrl + S (to the temp file folder) and closing it just in time to realize everything I had done was lost into Cache oblivion. I’m still face palming about that one.
Oh, man, I can’t imagine losing 3000 words! So far, I’ve never done anything to lose part of a WIP. I’ve heard a bunch of horror stories about that, and I would just be sick!
Btw, your book is on my TBR list. 🙂
That’s very kind of you to say.
I will admit, I cried just a little bit when I lost those words. ha 🙂
Ooooo Disney World! Sounds like you had a good time..and I’m a little jealous, lol! I haven’t been there in like 5 years and so want to go back. I literally turn into a 12 year girl again when I am there and want to see all the characters and the princesses…well without the hair from the late 80’s though thank goodness! Good luck the rest of week; I bet you will be caught up with your word count in no time! 😀
I know that feeling of being a 12 year old again. Well, I kind of wanted to be an 18 year old again when I met that good-looking waiter, but that was another post. LOL (My husband just rolls his eyes.) I hope the next time I go, I can take someone who likes to ride roller coasters, so I won’t have to ride those by myself. 🙂 (My husbands loves coasters, but won’t go to Disney World.)
I really hope I get caught up soon. I’ve never been this far behind!
Lauralynn, I think you’re allowed a few days off to enjoy yourself. 😀 I’ve never been to Disneyworld (I’m in California), but I’m dying to get back to Disneyland — it’s been a couple of years since my last trip.
Hope that wrist gets better!
I know, Lena, I shouldn’t feel guilty about taking a vacation, should I? LOL
My wrist feels much better today. Apparently, I didn’t really hurt it that badly.
Hope you had a good vacation.
Sorry about your wrist. Bummer. Elastics…I put an elastic around a lid if I’m having trouble getting it off. It works wonders. Of course homemade is better, but in a pinch…
Anyhoo, all the best with your ROW goals.
TTFN
I had a great vacation, Stephanie.
My wrist is better and I was able to write almost three times my goal last night. Yay! What I really should have done was wait until my husband came into the room and let him open the jar…which he ended up doing anyway. LOL
Thanks, I think things are picking up with my goals now. 🙂
