I’m still behind on word count, but I’m slowly creeping back up. It didn’t help that I didn’t write on Saturday. My husband wanted to go see Thor that afternoon, then that night I went to a lingerie shower for my future daughter-in-law. But I think I’ll catch up soon.
Thor…oh my stars! I loved the movie, but even if I hadn’t, it would have been worth it just to SEE him. Bad Lauralynn! *smacks self* I have never seen such a perfect body. And the face was equally worthy of adoration. The first time it showed him in a pair of low riding jeans and no shirt, my husband actually put his hand over my eyes. LOL
Okay, I’m finished shamelessly drooling. I don’t usually go this gaga over an actor or character, but…just wow.
Sounds like Thor was a good movie. Maybe fodder for a short story or practice scene. Glad you took time off to enjoy life happening.
Cathryn, sometimes you just have to take off and do something fun. I had a really good Saturday.
Yes, the hotness totally made up for the fact that they could’ve put in another 20 minutes of stuff dealing with actual character arc. Chris Helmsworth makes a delicious Viking. I’m usually a tall, dark, and handsome kinda gal, but blond, buff, and built totally worked for me in this.
Yeah, Kait, I’m usually a tall, dark, and handsome kinda gal, too, but this was just awesome eye candy. His body wasn’t too bulky, nor too small. Just right. (Now I sound like Goldilocks, LOL)
My husband said he read that Chris put on 40 pounds of muscle for this role. He’s lost most of it already.
Ooh, yum! Now I can’t wait to see it!!!! š
You would love it, Anya. Chris Helmsworth is gorgeous. I thought he was cute as Captain Kirk’s father in the last Star Trek, but cute does not describe him in Thor.
Please spare the old lady her blushes I am too old to drool (well over hunks that is – only a few years before I just drool!!!) glad you enjoyed your candy- moderation in all things now mind!!!
LOL, Alberta. I’m way too old to be drooling over someone as young as Chris Helmsworth, but, hey, I’m not dead yet! I feel much younger than I am. LOL. Anyway, as long as it doesn’t bother my husband, I guess I’m safe. He knows I’m only looking. :0)
I am so glad to know that I’m not the only one massively drooling over Chris Hemsworth! I really wasn’t expecting to — I’m not usually attracted to the blond Viking sort of man — but oh my. It didn’t help that he bulked up so much since doing Star Trek, or that he was so funny (I really wasn’t expecting the funny).
Beyond the eye candy, I’ve been thinking a lot about setting and scenery in fantasy/sci-fi films, and Asgard didn’t disappoint. I was really taken with all the breathtaking CGI shots of the city, especially the blend of ancient and futuristic, the golden gleaming, the shapes and outlines of the structures… Thor was definitely a feast for the eyes, in more ways than one. :p
Jamila, I definitely liked the funny side of Thor, too. I love humor, even when it’s a little corny.
Wasn’t the scenery awesome? My husband and I usually try to watch these kinds of movies on the big screen and save the dvd rentals for other types of movies. I’m really loving these Marvel movies. Next, it’s Captain America, and then The Avengers!
