First of all, I want to thank everyone for all the kind words concerning the death of my best friend. You guys are so awesome! Because of everything that’s been going on, I haven’t written in a few days. It’s mostly because I’ve been busy with things regarding my friend’s death. I made and printed the programs for the memorial service and made a power point presentation with pictures of her. I felt so honored to be asked to do these things. I was so glad to be able to keep busy. I spent time with her family Friday night, and we had the memorial service on Saturday. So, yeah, I’m behind in word count. But I’m going to catch up, hopefully this week. I’ve been a really bad ROW80 sponsor because I haven’t checked in on all the blogs I should, but I hope everyone understands. I intend to remedy that for this check in. Life must continue on, and my friend would not want me to abandon my writing. Her husband, Jonathan Eli, also intends to continue to write.
My goals are to write an average of 500 words per day and to have the first novella in this series ready to release by June 1. I can do this! :0)
You go, girl. I’m rootin’ for ya. I look forward to reading your novella when it comes out.
Milli
Thank you, Milli! With great people rooting for me, I’ll get it done. :0)
You better keep writing! Thank you so much for everything, it means so much and thank you for everytihng you have done for her family. Kat’s Desision is coming and then I fully intend on getting you Elapsted Time before the end of August. But then there is that wedding I have to go to in June….
Peace. Jon
You guys are family to me. We have to get through this together.
Hopefully, I’ll get my WIP done soon, then I can look at yours. And I’m still working on getting The Last Cabbandeum in print for you.
You better be at that wedding. Just stop trying to scare off my future daughter in law with stories about my son. LOL
I’m sorry about the loss of your friend…and it’s completely understandable that your focus is not on writing.
Hang in there!
Thank you, Laurel. I’ll get my focus back on writing. I’ll just have to try to get the rest behind me. I appreciate your support.
LOL! I love how you and your son have taken that bait! I’ve told her nothing but great things about your son and how proud I am of him. I just can’t believe it took him so long and that he finally is settleing down. We talked a lot of drag racing and I am REALLY looking forward to meeting her father (she said we could talk the whole reception away about it) so your kids safe. She’s old enough to know better but some things you can’t help! LOL!
Ha ha, Jon.
Don’t even think about getting down on yourself about being a sponsor! I was also a sponsor last round, and I can say easily that for about a month, I dropped off the face of the earth while I was dealing with something. I took my time to heal, and I came back… if not refreshed, at least with newly-found energy.
Good for you, keeping up with writing as you can, and checking in. We’re all rooting for you.
Thanks Belinda. Last night I was back on track. I had dinner with Jon and another friend and we stayed 3 1/2 hours, but I came home and wrote before I went to bed. So I think I’m doing okay now. I’m a little worried that I won’t make my projected release date, but that won’t be a catastrophe if I don’t.
