So…I had been wearing a size 18 in jeans before any weight loss. They were a little loose on me, but I couldn’t quite get into a 16 yet. For my birthday in January, my husband bought me a pair of size 16, and they fit. I was really happy about that. He remarked that maybe he could buy me a size 14 for Valentine’s Day. I said “Let’s not get ahead of ourselves.” Yesterday, for Valentine’s Day, he handed me a pair of size 14 jeans and said, “Remember what I said on your birthday? Maybe you can wear these soon.” I went to the bedroom to try them on. Because, you know, I just HAD to. Then I came out of the bedroom and modeled the PERFECT FITTING JEANS for hubby. π Down two sizes!
Stats for this week:
Beginning weight: 193
Todayβs weight: 178
This weekβs loss: .5 lbs.
Total loss: 15 lbs.
I was a little disappointed that I only lost .5 lbs., but I’ve been losing pretty fast lately, so it had to slow down at some point. I’m happy with any loss. π
Congrats, LL! You’re doing awesome! Keep going!! Pretty soon you’ll have the 8-18 collection.
Thanks, Susan! Actually, I already have the 8-18 collection. I went from 8 to 18…now I’m going back down. Hee hee. I wonder where my size 8’s are…. Wait, I actually had some size 6’s….
Woohoo! That’s awesome! I know you are excited! Proud of you!
Thanks, Anya. It’s so worth it, too. π
Remember…we have to look good for Jimmy in August. Of course, that’s not the reason I’m doing this. I’m just saying…. LOL
So true! π
Fantastic! A) Two pant sizes in that time span is AMAZING. B) The fact that hubby can buy you jeans that fit is nothing short of miraculous. My husband wouldn’t have the first CLUE how to pick jeans that would fit me.
Thanks, Kait! I had been buying cheap jeans because I couldn’t stand the thought of buying good jeans in a big size. LOL. He bought jeans that were a little better, and they really fit well. In fact, he bought me a pair of jeans AND a shirt for my birthday…and they both fit!
That is amazing! You have to be feeling more energetic and better all around. Inspirational work, Lauralynn!!
Thanks, J.R.! I feel so much better, especially with the weight loss AND the lower blood sugar. It’s so nice not to plop down on the couch and spend the rest of the evening watching TV because that’s all I felt like doing. π
That’s amazing! I’m so proud of you. All that hard work has been worth it. π
Thanks, Claire! It feels good.
You really are doing such a great job!! I’m jealous… keep it up!! I only have a few pairs of pants I can wear that are hanging in my closet. That is not a good thing.
Thanks, Tiffany! I’m finding smaller clothes I forgot I had in my closet. And as soon as some of my clothes get so big they look stupid on me, I’m getting rid of them. No going back.
You are doing AMAZING! Life has been hectic lately and so I’ve just been holding steady…your post is really inspiring me to get my butt in gear!
Thanks, Amber! I’m really feeling good about my health and weight loss. Good luck with your efforts. Sometimes holding steady is all we can do for awhile.
Congrats. 2 dress sizes – that’s amazing progress.
Thanks, Emma!
Well, two jeans sizes. Maybe one size on the dresses and tops. I’m a little, um, “top heavy”. LOL
I wish I was top heavy. God didn’t grace me in that department π
Super congrats!!
I’m kinda mad that my illness has stollen any energy I may have had, therefore causing me not to work out this past week π¦
On the plus side, at least I’m not top heavy, that would be waaaay weird. And thank god I’m not bottom heavy, cuz then I picture myself looking like a weeble wobble (at least I’d never fall down). Nope I put all my weight in the middle, hah I’m a middle-weight, which in sports is lighter than a heavy-weight.
And once again, great job on your weight loss and commitment!
Thanks, Chris!
I’m glad you’re not top heavy. *giggles*
That is so awesome! You’re really gaining momentum on losing weight. π
I was right about my weight. At the doctor’s office, I checked in at 222 pounds. Blech, but it is what my mom was, and I look just like her. Anyway, I haven’t weighed myself since, but I did go from a size 26 to 22 in pants. I find that since I see the results, I’m able to avoid the candies I used to eat. I’ll still have something sweet from time to time, but I no longer snack on it like I used to. And I find that nothing but veggies or fruits after dinner helps a lot. As a bonus, I finally drink less soda. I can’t go cold turkey on the soda, but if I only drink it if I’m out with a friend, then at least it’s not like I was doing before (2-3 cans a day at home).
I would LOVE to be a 14 again. I’m a little jealous of you right now. LOL
Congrats on going down those pants sizes. Yay! When you see results, it makes you want to work harder. π
I only drink diet sodas so no calories there. I think being overweight is worse than using artificial sweeteners so its a trade off.
You CAN be a 14. Just be patient and keep trying.
THAT’S AWESOME!! I’m so happy for you! There’s nothing better than new clothes in a smaller size! I went shipping this weekend and also tried on a pair if smaller jeans that fit! I was really excited too :). You’re right about weightloss being an important part of health and it’s fun to really see a difference. Nothing wrong with that π
Another thing that’s great about this weight loss is that my husband’s excited about it, too. He’ll probably be the one to buy my size 12 jeans. LOL
Good job on the smaller size, Erika. So…did you BUY those smaller jeans? π
