I’m sure you all remember Daisy who came to our house a few months ago. Well, she followed our old dog into the woods, and she never came back. I’ve heard a dog since then barking (happy barking), and I’m sure it’s her, so I think a neighbor through the woods kept her. She had a collar, but it didn’t have our name on it, so…. Anyway, I know any of our neighbors would take good care of her, and we really weren’t ready for another dog, especially since our other dog is old. But now a new puppy has come into our lives. For some reason, people tend to dump unwanted animals in our area. This puppy was only about 8 weeks old, and we all instantly fell in love. We took him and got his shots and wormer, and we got an identification tag. My son also got him a tag with his name (Duke), our phone numbers, and our address. But, now, we have to keep him in the garage because we don’t want him running off. So there is much poop cleaning in the garage. We’re working on a better way to keep him restrained since we can’t afford a fence. I thought I would post a couple of pictures of the little darling. The first picture is at about 8 weeks. The second picture is now (a little less than 3 months), but the picture makes him look smaller than he is. He went from 10 lbs. to 20 lbs. in 3 weeks! So heeerrrreeee’s Duke!
See all the little pieces of trash around Duke? Well, that’s only part of what he does to the garage. i wish I had taken pictures of some of his little disasters. Soda cans, potting soil, poop…
Oh my freaking gosh, he is adorable! He has a sweet, but cheeky face.
So strange how animals keep popping up. When I was a kid, I spent my life wishing unwanted animals would show up, so we could have more pets. 🙂
Isn’t he a little doll? And he is very cheeky. We’re going to have to do a lot of training with him because he’s a little aggressive.
I live way out in the country and people just drop off animals. I hope no one does this again. We can’t handle any more pets.
That’s awful. I don’t know how anyone could just dump an animal like that. Seriously baffles me.
He’ll learn some manners soon enough. Who knows what kind of life he had before you found him. Poor little dote.
Cute! (Thanks for not sharing his poop, though. LOL!) It’s unfathomable to me how people can just abandon an animal. They must have been born missing part of their heart.
I just don’t get it. 😦
He is adorable! Puppies are like toddlers. They like to make messes! 🙂 He looks like he might have some black lab in him. ??? Hard to tell, but gosh he’s a cutie!
I’m not sure what he is. I think he has some sort of bulldog in him. He’s really sweet, but he’s a biter. Most puppies are, though. He doesn’t bite to be mean, he just likes to chew on everything, including body parts. He’s just playing. We have to teach him what’s acceptable.
Aw, he’s gorgeous.
Hubby bought him a rope with a loop at both ends. They are playing tug-o-war as I’m writing this. 🙂
So cute! Thanks for sharing. 😀
Isn’t he a little doll?
