Well, as I mentioned Wednesday, I had a couple of good writing days. However, I woke up Wednesday with a sore throat and was kind of miserable traveling back from Baltimore, a ten hour drive. I’ve been sick since then, so I haven’t really felt like writing. I did go out for dinner last night for my birthday (a few days early) with family and a couple of friends, but I coughed so much last night I couldn’t sleep. I seem to feel better during the day and miserable at night. I’m not going to beat myself up over the lack of writing because I know what crap I would have written while I was feeling so bleh.
On the health front, my blood sugar is doing great on the 24 hour insulin. I SO hope I can get off of it or at least cut down the dosage. I’ve lost about 10 lbs. in the last month, so I’m happy with that. I didn’t walk on the treadmill on Friday because I felt so bad, and I really missed it. So exercise has become a habit that I miss when I don’t do it. That’s a good thing. I want to keep up with the treadmill through the month of January, then add back the weight work in February.
Okay, enough talk. I’m going to rest for awhile now….
So sorry you have felt bad. 😦 Hope you feel better soon and can get back with your regular routine. ❤
Yeah, life throws us a lot of curves. I hope I feel like getting back to it by Monday. I’m definitely going to try to go to the gym Monday. Then maybe I’ll feel like writing, too. Another problem is that I’ve had company every night and probably will until Wednesday. I might just have to say, “You’ll have to excuse me for an hour so I can write.
By all means let them know you need to do something else.
Happy early birthday!! I hope you get to feeling better
Thanks, Chris!
If you’re feeling utterly miserable at night, I’d say get up and watch a few episodes of Moonlight or something. That’s what I do and it takes my mind off the back pain, or sore throat, or whatever it is that’s preventing me from sleeping.
Oh my, episodes of Moonlight! *swoon* Watching Alex O’Loughlin ought to make anyone feel better! I have the DVD’s. 🙂
So sorry to hear you’re not well. I always struggle at night too. Take it easy and I hope you feel better soon.
Also, Happy Birthday. x
Thank you, Laura! 🙂
Happy birthday! Hope you feel better soon. Congrats on the weight loss. That’s fantastic 🙂
Thanks, Michelle! I expect to have a better week starting today. 🙂
Yay for birthdays, boo for sickness!!! When I’m sick, I watch “My Neighbor Totoro” and “Kiki’s Delivery Service”. True story. And my husband buys me 5 gallons of soup and gatorade. hahaha
Hope you feel better in time for your birthday.
Hmm, I’ve never heard of those two. Hubby did cook me breakfast and had roses and a candle on the table Saturday morning. I like eggs more than soup, anyway. LOL.
Well, I totally empathise with your illness. We just arrived from 3 weeks at the beck and call of standby flights around the US/Europe/Dubai with flu and feel awful. Yet again I spent a Vegas holiday with a cold sore and tissues up my nose – at least this time wasn’t our wedding! I do hope you managed to enjoy the birthday at least? And I’ll tell you what I’m telling myself, ease yourself back in. Rest is key… work can wait or suffer as a result. Best of luck. X
Traveling with the flu??? Not fun! That doesn’t sound like much of a holiday. 😦 Luckily, what I have doesn’t appear to be the flu. I feel a little better today.
Sorry to hear you got sick. Rest up, and you’ll be back to those word counts in no time. Good luck this week! 🙂
Thanks, J.R., I can’t seem to shake this illness. I thought I would feel better today, but now I have a horrible headache from the sinus pressure. Bleh. It has to end at some point.
