Drum roll, please. LOL. Anyway, the winner of the Soul of a Vampire giveaway is Kristina Haecker! Congrats, Kristina!
So here’s what’s going on for ROW80:
Writing: I’m about 1100 words along on my WIP. I’ve hit a few personal snags that’s kept me from writing as much as I’d like, but I think the rest of the week, and the weekend, will get back to normal.
Print book update: They’ve sent me the proof for Vampires’ Curse, so I’m just waiting on that. I’m also waiting on Anya to finish the print cover for Soul of a Vampire. I asked her to change something, so it’s my fault it’s not finished. LOL.
Health: I haven’t worked out yet this week. Monday I was having a major issue with one of my feet, and yesterday I used my lunch hour to write because I was going out to eat last night with a fellow author who lives here in town. (I think she would wish to remain anonymous, LOL.) I didn’t get in until late. I hope to return to my routine tomorrow.
So, what’s up with the rest of you?
Yay! Congrats to Kristina! 😉
Can’t wait to see the print book when you get it in. And hopefully I can get the other cover done by today. 😉 As long as you don’t change anything else. heehee
LOL, I’ll try not to change anything else. But no promises. 😉
Thank you so much, Lauralynn! And thank you, Anya! ❤
Can't wait to add both books to my shelves! 🙂
You’re welcome, Kristina. Congrats! 🙂
Congratulations Kristina!!!
Congrats, Kristina!!
And, Lauralynn… you’re a writing machine!! And don’t worry, I haven’t worked out all week either. 🙂
Writing machine? That has a nice ring to it. LOL
Sometimes, workouts get put aside for other things. But I need to get right back on track. 🙂
Working out – what’s that?!
Ha ha, Emma. I get that. Sometimes I feel the same way. I’m just hoping I stick to it this time.
Congratulations to Kristina! 😀
It’s better to change the cover before it goes to print. BTW, thank you for the mention in your acknowledgement page. That’s so sweet of you!
I notice writing seems to go in spurts. Sometimes you’re just bursting with ideas and it’s so easy. At other times, the well dries up and you’re getting frustrated. LOL
Ouch on the foot issue. 😦 I hope you’re feeling better now.
I’m getting that novella ready for publication. I didn’t realize I had so much to do with people eating food in that book until I was reading through it again. I was thinking of you and how much you love writing those scenes. 🙂 One of my characters eats all the time, and of course he’s as skinny as a rail.
You’ve helped me in a lot of ways, Ruth, so I wanted to acknowledge that. 🙂
My foot bothers me more when I go a day or two (usually the weekend) without wearing my Chacos. As soon as I started wearing them again my foot got better. I’ve ordered a pair of tennis shoes from Chaco since I can’t keep wearing my sandals through the winter. LOL
I love to write eating scenes. But I get in trouble with some of my fellow writers when I do that too much. Hee hee. But if you’re writing about a character who eats all the time and is still skinny, there’s actually a reason for writing those scenes. It matters to the plot. 🙂
Back to normal? I wish I could find normal. But then I’d find it and quickly be bored probably. But best of luck to you in finding normal, I hope you find it (Then put a leash on it so it doesn’t wander far).
Everytime you talk about your Chacos I always think of Chaco Tacos. Ummmmm ice cream!
Well, Hubbard, at least as normal as it gets. LOL
Chaco Tacos? Are those the ice cream treats that are in a cone shaped like a taco?
Yep, ice cream tacos, Chaco Tacos. For some reason they’re super popular at the hospital I work at. I can never get one I always end up with orange sherbet or pudding.
Congrats to Kristina!
Good grief, Lauralynn, you make me tired when you’re having a bad week. I dare not read your posts when you’re on fire–I’ll just pull the duvet back over my head!
Seriously, I relate so much to your foot problems. I have one that swells and aches, although the x-rays show nothing–what the heck is that all about?
Here’s to a more productive, normal rest of the week, no matter that reading your check-in post will make me tired, lol!
You’re so funny, Elizabeth. And here I was feeling like a total slacker. LOL
I don’t know what’s wrong with that foot. I’m flat-footed, so I don’t know if that’s just caused problems through the years.
Thanks, I do hope things get back to normal. 🙂
