I don’t know why I’m even posting this. I have nothing to update. I’ve been so sick, I haven’t done any writing since Saturday. This puts me behind on a project that has a definite deadline, so I’ll have to ramp things up when I’m feeling better. Today is usually a day I take off from writing, but in order to get caught up, I’ll probably write. I don’t plan on going to church tonight because I might still be contagious, and we have a lot of elderly people who do not need what I have. So I might write while hubby is at church.
Our temp is supposed to get down to 8 tonight with a wind chill of 1. I need to figure out where to put the dogs. *BRRR*
Sending healing vibes your way!
Thank you, Kait!
Wow. it must be incredibly cold where you live. I keep on forgetting that it is deep mid winter in the nothern hemosphere. Get well soon!
It generally doesn’t get this cold since I’m in the southeastern US. But sometimes, we’ll have some freakish cold weather. And I hate it. I wish it would get just barely cold enough to snow.
I’m feeling a little better today, so I must be on the mend.
Hang in there- hope you feel better and get a lot written today š
Thank you! š

It’s quite cold here too!
Thanks, Cindy, I need them!
Hope you feel better soon. It was 3 degrees when I woke up this morning. I’m ready for it to warm up at least a bit.
It was 6 when I got up. Well, I was pretty much up all night. There’s going to be a blog post later today describing my night and morning. I’m going to try to make it humorous…because sometimes you just gotta laugh at stuff.
I’m sure the deadline can be moved. Life happens. š
I knew a pastor who thought there was no reason to miss church, even when someone was sick or there was horrible weather. I didn’t agree with him. If you’re sick, stay home. Why make yourself (or others) worse by going? I never understood the idea of making people be somewhere when they didn’t feel well or when the weather was bad. That makes no sense.
I hope you and your dog are better soon.
Where I go to church, the only time we’ve ever actually cancelled services was during the blizzard of 1993. (Yes, in Tennessee.) We are pretty strong about not missing services. But if someone is sick, or even has to work and can’t get out of it, everyone understands that. I was out of church Sunday and Wednesday with this cold. I certainly didn’t want to give it to the elderly people at church, nor did I feel like going. And when we had a bad snow last year, the call went out (we have a call line where a message goes out to all the members) that we were having services, but if you couldn’t make it, that was fine. Hubby and I started to church and turned around after a few yards down the road. So you have to take LIFE into consideration in each circumstance and do the best you can.
I actually got almost 1000 words written today at work. If I don’t fall asleep (since I got about an hour last night), I’m going to try for at least that much this evening.
It got down to -14 here…our water lines were frozen for two days. Fortunately, our pit bull/Viszla does not like cold, and is primarily a house dog. The formerly feral cat, after having spent two days of the previous cold spell outside, and dropping a pound or two, seems to have much less interest in being outside when the thermometer dips, so she’s spent most of the time curled up on my bed.
Hope you’re feeling better, now!
My younger dog is a pit. We put him in the laundry room, and he didn’t make a peep all night.
I feel better, but I’m not well. I probably should have gone to the doctor. It’s been eight days. I think I’m on the mend, though.
I’m sorry you weren’t well. It’s that time of year, I’m afraid. I am new to the challenge so I look forward to following the goals and progress of all of the participants. It’s a very frigid temperature here too. Stay warm. š
