I’ve been meaning to post about this for awhile, but I just keep forgetting. A few weeks back, Jimmy Thomas launched a new site for authors, cover artists, publishers, editors, readers, etc. to connect on a site dedicated to the romance novel industry. I was one of those who got to try it out ahead of time before its official launch, and I think it’s a great site. Jimmy is a professional with great business sense, and it shows. In other words, he’s not just a pretty face. (Although his face AND body are swoon worthy.) Jimmy has been on my last four covers (the Libby Fox novellas and the Libby Fox trilogy). My cover artist has been using his site Romance Novel Covers for the cover art. His new site is Romance Novel Center. One exciting thing about this site is that he’s eventually going to let us sell our ebooks directly from the site. I CAN’T WAIT for that to happen. Anyway, thank you, Jimmy for developing this site. I love it!
These are all Jimmy
Such a sweet man! And of course great eye-candy. I love creating those covers with Jimmy on them.
Yes, he’s really nice in addition to all his other…qualities. 🙂
That’s pretty smart. I wish I could write real romance – I love the idea of being able to use the same cover model.
Hmmm, Claire, Jimmy probably wouldn’t be appropriate for young adult. LOL But I don’t know why you CAN’T write romance. You can do anything you want! 🙂
It’s the HEAs that I can’t do. And the love scenes. My OH says I’m the least romantic person he knows, and he’s so right. Me and romance don’t understand each other. 😉
Ah, there’s the problem. LOL. I love to do love scenes. 🙂 Not very graphic ones, though.
Thanks for passing this along! I’ll check it out. 😀
He said you can join even if HE’S not on the cover. LOL
LOL Do you make paperback versions of the covers he’s on? I checked the terms and conditions but wasn’t sure if it’s okay.
I haven’t yet, but I’m going to do Vampires’ Curse in print and a compilation of three other novellas as well. When you go to where you buy the picture, it shows the version for print is $15 and royalty free. I assumed that means if you buy that version, you may have as many printed as you like. However, it does look like you are supposed to repurchase if more than 20,000 are printed. Of course, if I sell 20,000 copies of the print version, I’ll be glad to spend another $15. LOL
I should have given Romance Novel Center a shout out before now as well! Glad you did!
I, too, have used Jimmy on my last two covers. He’s so photogenic and has a wide range of poses/costume/backgrounds. His images are reasonably priced, too. I can’t wait to see how much he eventually adds to his site!
My only complaint is that he doesn’t have enough “tame” pictures to choose from unless they’re historical. I like a nice, sexy cover, but not TOO sexy. LOL He does have some great poses, though, doesn’t he? And they are definitely reasonably priced. I hope he gets his store up and running soon. You can’t have too many places to sell your books. 🙂
