I’ve been trying my best to get back into exercising and eating right. It’s hard to believe that I actually still have size 6 jeans hanging in my closet. Actually I have 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, and 16…. It’s time to get serious about this. I have a treadmill, Bowflex, Wii, and free weights. I have no excuse. I have a friend who likes to be outdoors and we used to go walking a lot, but I get really bored with just walking, though.
A few weeks ago, my friend and her husband bought bicycles. Then they went on a trip to Virginia to the Virginia Creeper Trail to ride bikes. She had a blast. Although, she did have a couple of bicycle wrecks, LOL. Anyway, she’s been after me to buy a bike so we could ride together. I finally did it Saturday. We went to a sporting goods store and I bought a Diamondback Serene Classic Comfort Bicycle. Yeah, a comfort bike…because it’s all about the seat for me. Anyway, I’m excited to get started. If only it wasn’t so stinkin’ hot right now! Heat indexes close to 100 are not fun. Wish me luck!
Diamondbacks are good bikes. I have a friend that rides them exclusively. Good luck and be careful; need you to still be editing for me. LOL
Still impressed and happy about the word count, keep it up, I look forward to reading all the stories.
peace,
Jon
Thanks for the info, Jon. It makes me feel better about spending $300. And I used book sales money for it! :0)
Thanks, I’m happy with the word count, too. But what is it that makes me want to put love triangles in my stories? LOL
There is so many things I could say right now; but I will pass.
I have a bike. It hangs up on the garage ceiling where I can’t reach it on the odd occasion that I think I might want to use it. I actually bought a bike helmet this summer on an optimistic day when I thought I might actually bike to the gym sometimes. Silly me…
Have fun and practice safe biking!
Hi MIchelle. I’m not planning on riding on the road. My friend and I are going to ride in a park where we used to walk. If we get brave, we might ride on the Greenway, but that’s a trail where there are LOTS of bikes and walkers, and I don’t want to run over anyone. LOL
I live way out in the country. Unfortunately, I live on a state road where cars fly by well over the speed limit. Only an insane person would ride on that road.
