I still haven’t done any editing. Not in about a week and a half. Excuses: wedding, preparing for my trip, getting things ready for Vacation Bible School (which starts the day after I get back!). So I figure the best time to work on this is in the quiet of my hotel room.
Which brings me to the next thing…New York City! I’ve stressed about this trip because we are going to have to dress a certain way for certain functions Friday morning and Friday evening, and then we have an all day thing going on Saturday and I’ll be so tired. I also hate to fly, and our flight is 6:30 tomorrow morning. I don’t know WHY the guy I’m going with had to book the flight so early! We won’t even be able to get into our rooms when we get there. The good news is that I’ll have some free time on Friday afternoon. But it looks like it might rain. Bleh. I hate to go to NYC and not see anything there. Any suggestions on what to visit? Is there anything interesting around 57th (that’s where the hotel is)?
I wish my sweet hubby was going with me. 😦
My advice? Try, try, try to get a little done in your hotel room. I’ve been out of it due to traveling and family issues and I’m having such a hard time getting back to it. But, also, NYC! I’ve never been to the East Coast, and NYC is definitely a destination. Enjoy!
Katherine, I hope not to be out late at night, so I should be able to get some editing done. If I can make myself keep the TV off. LOL
I live in the southeast. I went on a bus tour once, and we were supposed to go to NYC, then 911 happened and the tour was a month later. 😦 So we had to do something else.
So. Jealous. I’ve always wanted to visit NYC. *prunes with envy* Have lots of fun and keep notes of your experiences so you can use them later. :o)
Hi Cate. We had a wonderful party at this gorgeous house last night. I got in really late and didn’t get to edit. I had been up 24 hours by then (because of our crazy travel schedule), but I hope I can get stuff done tonight. One of the things I’ve experienced already…the crazy driving! I’ve never heard so much honking and seen so many dangerous lane changes. Just wow.
I’m so jealous! I love NYC. My dad was raised on Long Island and we’ve visited a few times. I would love to go back today and see a show, walk the park, just simply take in the sites.
I look forward to a blog post all about your trip! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such encouraging words. #Row80ers for life.
Tiffany, if you saw my latest post, you would see that I don’t love New York. But that’s because I’m not getting to see the things I want to see. There’s been no time for shows or seeing any of the important sights. All I’m seeing is lots of taxis and big buildings. Someday, I would like to visit when I’m not on a business trip. I wish they had given us at least one full day without things we HAVE to do. 😦 At least they’re feeding us well. LOL
We love ROW80!
