So, I’m going to try this blogging thing again. I let life overwhelm me, and my blog was part of what had to go. But I miss blogging. I miss talking about stuff. One reader told me that he liked to read my posts because I talked about such a wide variety of things, and he never knew what the next one would be about. I would like to be that way again. When I tried to start blogging again the last couple of times, I had such little reaction that I got discouraged and stopped again. There are a couple of really faithful followers, but they were the only ones who interacted. But, you know, blogging is something we do because we want to. And the more we do it, the more followers we get, right? So I’m going to try it again and not give up this time. I hope. We’ll see. π
Welcome back! You’ve been missed π
So much has been going on! But I think I can breathe a bit now. π
Welcome back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
Thanks, Juli! I hope this continues.
A good way to get people reading and commenting is by joining blog hops. I’m involved in several. In fact, now that I think of it, four out of my seven days (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday) are blog hops I participate in, and I also do the Battle of the Bands once a month. Check them out!
Happy you’re back blogging gain!
Thanks for the advice, John. I might try to look at that when I can take a breather. Part of my problem is that I’m pulled in so many different directions right now. I can’t wait to retire!
I average 2-3 commenters when I blog, but then, I mostly do updates because my mind is blank on everything else. It’s a rare thing for me to come up with a post that inspires interaction. π For me, the blog helps hold me accountable to what I’m doing since I’m “reporting” to the people who are waiting for the next book. I never saw it as a big social engagement thing. There are authors who do have a lot of people commenting. I don’t know how some keep up with all of the comments! I would be overwhelmed. LOL
I guess I was just disappointed because I used to have a bigger following. But you’re right. Our blogs are OUR spaces where people come to visit us. And if no one shows up, it’s still ours.
