Even though I don’t have a whole lot to report, I’m trying to keep on my blogging schedule. So here goes.
I got some more words in on the sequel to Soul of a Vampire. I asked for help on my FB author page for the title. Check it out.
I had a reader do a little pimping for me yesterday (I didn’t ask, she was just kind enough to offer), and I got several page likes because of it. Love those loyal readers! Now I have to get the sequel out because she’s waiting for it. 🙂
I got a little editing done this week for a client. I’m going through some harder stuff checking on timelines, so it’s a little slow.
I hope I’m going to have money to pay for the cover of this sequel when it’s done. We talked about doing the cover early so I can be inspired, but that’s probably not going to happen. She needs to work on the ones she can get paid for first. 🙂 Soon, though.
How are y’all?
Great job sticking to your blogging schedule, and your writing. Hopefully everything else will just fall into its proper place and work out fine.
Take care, and best of luck to you in your endeavours.
Hi, Chris! How have you been doing lately?
There’s nothing like someone wanting to read the next book to motivate you to finish it. hehe
I’ll check out the Facebook link and see what people are coming up with. If I get inspiration, I’ll chime in.
Feel free to give ideas! 🙂
I hopped over to you FB page, but am terrible with titles. I’m struggling with one right now, too. When I wrote SOLSTICE ISLAND, I had about 5 titles I couldn’t choose between and wrote a post asking for people to vote (or come up with something else), and SI was picked from that. I might do that again, later on with the book title I’m struggling with. You could always try that on your blog when you have it narrowed down to a few.
And congrats on the making some progress with the sequel!
I always have had a hard time with titles, except for two. The titles Soul of a Vampire and Fire Wizard came to me before the story did. I wrote the stories around the titles in those two cases.
I had the same thing happen with Weathering Rock and Twelfth Sun, the only two titles I ever had that happen with. Sounds like we’ve had similar experiences, LOL!
Awesome on the blogging and writing and editing. I’ll head over to your page to see if I can help with a title. I usually don’t have issues with titles. Maybe I’ve been lucky?
Thanks, Erin!
Yay to more words written! I left you a title suggestion. I got a little creative when I read your post.
Been a little slow this weekend, but I usually am gallivanting on Saturday’s. Keep up the good work, Lauralynn. 🙂
I’ll go check that out!
It’s been popping like hot corn around here, but I’ll try to pop in your direction a bit later. I’m generally good with titles – I like to draw mine from the text itself whenever possible, often using one of the major themes, phrases, names, or symbols.
Sounds like you’re making froward progress in multiple areas. Hooray for you! =)
Thanks, Shan. I hope I can get that title figured out soon!
