This is what I found on my bedroom wall this morning. Centipedes creep me out worse than spiders. This is the kind of thing that happens since I live practically in the woods. Being in the boonies has its advantages and disadvantages. *shudders*
I haven’t done any writing for several days. I had a line editing job I wanted to get done because I have several coming up, and I needed to make sure I got this one done in a timely manner. I have a little breather for a couple of weeks, so I can work on writing. I have a current editing job, but I can go a little slower on it because the deadline is a little ways out. That way I can work on both writing and editing. I don’t think I’ll make my monthly quota for July, but I’m going to be close.
I’ll be in Philadelphia on a business trip Tuesday through Friday, and I’ll probably get some work done in the hotel room. They usually have some kind of reception for two nights, and I always skip out of those early because I can only stand all the people for so long. LOL
I am glad I am not the only one bothered by centipedes. icky!!! I remember staying at a friends house and seeing one crawl across the TV in the living room were I was sleeping, I still shutter at the thought.
I hope the trip goes smoothly and you get a chance to doing some work.
Have a stellar week!!
They are SO creepy.
Here’s hoping I get a lot of writing done!
When I was six years old, a centipede found its way into the bathtub while I was washing up for school. Oh, did I scream. My mother still laughs about how I probably woke up half the neighborhood yelling about the ‘centimeter’ in the bathtub.
I can so very much imagine making use of a business trip to get writing done. I do similar stuff….
Centimeter! I love it! We used to get those reddish brown flat ones a lot. They are creepy, too, but not as bad as this kind.
Peace and quiet in a hotel room. What else do you need? 🙂
A cabana boy? 😉
*giggle*
Ick! I hate all kinds of bugs and rodents, and yet I chose to live outside of town where I’ll be dealing with these things. LOL I agree. It has it’s pluses and its minuses.
Good luck on the edits and your writing. I know it’s hard to balance it all, esp. when you work on top of it all. I don’t know how you get so much done, to be honest.
I like butterflies, dragonflies, and lady bugs. LOL
It really is hard to balance everything. My mom was just saying the other day she didn’t know how I could do everything I do. Part of it is having a husband who does a lot of the housework. And laundry.
I love your husband. LOL Men who do housework and laundry are awesome.
I get itchy just thinking of creepie crawlies.
Enjoy the trip to Philadelphia.
My skin was definitely crawling!
Philly is great. The hotel is really nice.
Arg, my comment was eaten.
I completely freak over insects so I can relate to your reaction to the centipede *shudder*
Very weird thing….I’m following your blog and have WP set to give me immediate notice of your posts, but I haven’t gotten any 😦 Just found this because I was on Amazon purchasing “The Gnome” and I hit on your author page.
BTW, looking forward to a creepy read with the gnomish guys!
I don’t know why you’re not getting notifications. Weird.
Thanks for getting The Gnome. It was my first attempt at horror, and I had a lot of fun writing it. I just finished Weathering Rock and am reading Twelfth Sun now. 🙂
I’ll have to remember to check manually until it gets sorted out. I loved writing Caleb in WR, but Elijah in Ts was a lot of fun to write. Starting yours tonight and looking forward to it!
