I could do two or three posts on my Texas trip. I might share some more in detail later. but I thought I would start with this post and just show it in pictures. So here goes!
I saw the Alamo…
I walked on the River Walk…
I ate at Boudro’s and had guacamole made right at my table…
I took a ghost tour…
I took a boat tour…
I ate Texas Barbeque and listened to a good band (I don’t usually like country, but)…
I took a helicopter ride (this was awesome)…
I ate authentic Mexican food and watched a children’s dance group…
I had so many more pictures, but I had to stop somewhere.
Oh, and if you’re so inclined, Just Judy’s Jumbles has an interview with me on her blog. You can fill out the form on the right and be entered to win a paperback from me. I’m giving away five!
That Boudro’s place looks fabulous. How was the ghost tour?
It was great. I bought ingredients tonight to try to reproduce the guacamole. The ghost tour was a lot of fun. It’s the first time I had ever been on one.
Love the pictures! I’m curious, what do they talk about on a ghost tour?
BTW, my husband would be jealous of that helicopter ride. 😀
On the ghost tour, they take you to all the buildings that are supposedly haunted and tell you the stories about them and what people have seen. The Holiday Inn Express used to be the jail, and they did the hangings right inside. The exterior is exactly the same as it was years ago. San Antonio has a LOT of old buildings.
I was afraid I would fall out of the helicopter. LOL
I love San Antonio. Glad you had a good time. Never heard of the Ghost Tour and I lived there for a while.
It’s one of my new favorite cities! I don’t think the ghost tour has been around very long.
