Editing sucks. I’m just saying….
Seriously, I’m not doing very well, although I did get some excellent input from awesome author Michelle DePaepe. After seeing her comments, I felt like my story wasn’t as full of problems as I originally thought. I think my biggest problem is that my son is getting married Saturday, and I can’t concentrate on much else. Maybe after the wedding, my mind can remain more focused on editing my story.
As for one of my other goals, I believe I have Jonathan Eli’s book just about ready for print publication. I got some awesome suggestions from Susan Bischoff which will make the interior look better, I think.
I hope everyone else is doing well!
Congrats on your son’s wedding! Weddings can definitely make it hard to focus and maybe relaxing will help a little. Sometimes choosing not to do something makes you want to do it. Human brains are wired weird like that. :-p At least, mine is.
But heck… I’ll second, “Editing sucks.” I’m dragging my feet big time there. -sigh-
Thanks, Sadie. I’m really excited about the wedding. And the honeymoon because they’re going to Ireland!
I’m going to NYC next Thursday, so maybe I can do some editing at night while I’m in the hotel room. LOL
Thanks for the link. Especially thanks for everything you’re doing, in the middle of your crazy world right now, to help get the book out and work on Kat’s Decision. Lunch was great today and, as always, it was good to see you. Looking forward to Saturday. Now if all your blog readers would read mine…. I can dream.
Peace,
Jon
You’re welcome, Jon.
One of the ways I’ve gotten more readers on my blog and more exposure is to be involved in ROW80. Maybe you should consider it for round three….
*Agrees* Sucks sooooo bad. You’ll get through it, it just isn’t easy when you have anything else big going on.
Congrats/good luck re: the wedding. I hope they enjoy the honeymoon!
I have to get through it, Claire. I HAVE to get this book published! :0)
They are so looking forward to Ireland. I hope they take lots of pictures.
You will, you will!
The weather is great this week, hopefully it sticks around for them. 🙂
I’m in full edit mode too, and going to a wedding later this summer.
I can relate. Editing turns me into a pirate. ARRGH But we just have to pillage through. Or is that the Vikings? History isn’t my strong subject. lol
ARRGH is right! LOL.
At least now you’ve got some good input to help you through the edits.
Have a good time at the wedding!
Input is always good. Fresh eyes help a lot. (That sounded kind of gross when you think about it, LOL)
Thanks, Andrew. I just hope I don’t drop the groom’s cake in transport!
Congratulations on your son’s wedding! I hear you on the editing… It’s a long road. Love your cover, though!
Deniz, we just got home from the wedding. (We stayed and helped clean up.) It was so funny, because this time the groom cried instead of the bride. Of course, that made me cry. LOL
Thanks, I thought Anya did a great job on the cover.
