I usually don’t talk about a book at all until I’m finished with it. I’m only about 20% done with Jenny Pox, but it’s so good I have to tell everyone. I heard about J. L. Bryan’s Haunted Ebook Tour from another author, I think maybe Stacey Wallace Benefiel. I started following the tour and read The Haunted Ebook. I loved it! It’s a great horror story. So I downloaded all of his books without reading samples. I knew if one book was that good, and the writing was that solid, I would like them all. Jenny Pox is awesome! So if you haven’t read anything by J. L. Bryan, go check it out.
I’m ashamed to say that this book made me late for work this morning. *hangs head*
Oh wow, I am intrigued. I have The Haunted eBook but haven’t had time to read it yet. I’ll have to be sure to check out Jenny Pox once I read the other.
You will love it!
I love how people talk percents of reading progress these days. Thanks for the recommendation.
Yep, it’s the ebook era. Instead of looking at how thick the pages are, you look at percentages.
I’m trying not to be weird stalker fan, but I’m loving J.L. Bryan. Hahahahahaha. Seriously, you know how it is when you find an author you’re amazed by. And you know me. I read so many different genres, it’s not always going to be about paranormal romance. Although, this one is definitely paranormal.
I totally stalked him too, don’t feel bad. 🙂 Good thing he’s a really nice guy. Ha! I thought the same thing as you-loved the book before I was barely done with the first three chapters.
When I looked on Amazon and saw Jenny Pox was ranked in the 20,000’s I was like, “WTF?” Then a couple of days later Ascend by Amanda Hocking came out and there’s a JP excerpt in the back. Now the ranking is much better and down where it belongs. There’s an excerpt in the back of Glimpse too-I suppose I can take credit for netting him that one sale. LOL
Okay, I sound crazy. Shutting my mouth.
You don’t sound crazy at all. This guy is awesome sauce! I’m so glad you mentioned that tour. I hope his books get up there in the top 100. I looked and it’s at 1615 right now. That’s much better than 20,000!
Okay…you’ve peaked my interest. I’m going to have to check Jenny Pox out. But…aren’t you a naughty one for being late to work, because you were reading! (If I didn’t have a mischievous imp to get off to school in the morning, I’d probably be just as naughty.) I haven’t been late to something because of reading since The Vampire Lestat made me miss a few college classes. (Anne Rice’s fault!)
Michelle, I think you will love Bryan’s work. You might want to check out The Haunted Ebook if you haven’t already. It sounds like your kind of thing.
I’m about 35% or so through Jenny Pox, and I’m still loving it. It’s longer than most of the PR books I read.
Thanks. I just went to the site. It sounds like ghostly fun. I’ll definitely put it on my TBR list.
