We’ve been working on new software at work, and it’s making me crazy at work. By the time I get home in the evenings, I’m exhausted. I HAVE been able to get some writing in, though. Not huge word counts, but some writing, nonetheless.
I was out of town for work three days last week, so that put me behind. I had some disheartening news (which has since been worked out), so that kind of put a freeze on my productivity. And, today, I had to leave work at 10:30 AM to go get my son who was in an accident (he and his fiancee are okay), then I went on home because the roads were covered in snow and ice. That put me further behind at work, but maybe it will give me a little extra time for writing. And some extra time for Bible study. We’re supposed to get more snow Friday or Saturday, so who knows what’s going to happen?
Tomorrow (the 21st) at 7:00 PM, I’ll be “on” at an event called
A Paranormal Author Takeover. Come check it out.
I really hope next week settles down. I need to get caught up.
Sounds like you need that quiet time this week especially. I know it’s only January, but how long will that snow stick around? Can’t we be thinking of tulips and daffodils? Sunny skies? Oh, and new books to read? Hope you have a better week at home, work, and with the writing.
The roads were okay this morning, but the snow on the grass is sticking around for a little while. We might have a little more on the weekend. I’m SO ready for spring now. We’re getting busier at work (in addition to the new software). Apparently, our customers ARE getting ready for spring.
Wow, you’ve really got slammed with a lot of stuff. I’d be exhausted, too.
I’m so thankful to hear your son and his fiance are okay. That had to be scary for all of you.
We are expecting major snow on Saturday, too. It looks like winter has finally arrived. I’m already looking forward to spring and summer. Take care, and I hope this week is less hectic for you!
I’m trying very hard to look at my Spark planner and realize it’s all doable.
I can’t wait for summer because I think I’m going to be able to take a real vacation this year. 🙂
Hug! Hugs! Hugs!!!!
Thanks! I need them!
Hope the event goes well and you get some much deserved relaxation this coming weekend.
I do have one commitment for the weekend, but I think it’ll be fun. Even though it involves me putting actual clothes and shoes on. LOL
Hey, even a little bit counts; if it didn’t, I couldn’t call myself a writer since little bits at a time is my writing style.Sounds like you owe it to yourself to take it a little easy when you can right now, anyway.
Thanks, L. I wish I could write full time, but such is life. We have to write when we can, right?
You can do it! One little step at a time, everything is eventual. Now go enjoy that weekend.
I need to learn to stop trying to mult-task. That’s what’s overwhelming me, I think. I AM enjoying my weekend. I’m snowed in. 🙂
