I told my husband last night that I would love to be able to sit down and write 2,000 words. Guess what? I DID it. Yep, I think it was 2,026. It was funny, I was in my office and the sun was shining, and I had the windows open. The birds were chirping. Then my husband yells, “Are you working in the dark?” I looked around, and it WAS dark. And getting a little chilly. I had been in there for an hour and a half. I always thought I wrote about 1,000 words per hour, but apparently it’s more like 1,000 words in 45 minutes. π
I hope this momentum continues. When things slow down at work, things will be easier, I think.
Isn’t that the greatest feeling? π
It is, Ruth. I couldn’t believe I wrote so much. I usually top out at no more that 1500, but usually closer to 1000.
Great work. I am starting a new book and have a target. But it needs determination and talent of which you have
plenty. So many congrats. :))
Thanks, Katy! We all need targets to work toward.
Well done!
Thanks, Emma!
Congrats! Fantastic! Now see if you can keep it up.
I certainly hope I can!
Awesome! I do believe that sometimes we just need to state our desires, and, in doing that, we open ourselves to the possibilities.
I love that you lost track of time, and found so many words! =D
Thanks! I hope I can do this several times. Sometimes the distractions of life don’t allow me to get fully into the story, so that was a good writing session. π
For me, there’s no better feeling than sitting down to write and finding that the words are flowing like a raging river fed by the thawing snow. Congratulations! π
That raging river feeling is awesome! π
