The leaves that I thought would NEVER turn, finally did. It happened in, like, two days. It was so windy last night, and all my windows were open. It seemed like perfect Halloween weather. And I’m feeling a renewed motivation for writing. I want to go into my office, close the door (if I can get the cats in there with me because that’s where their litter box is), and sit down with a cup of hot tea and some snacks, and write, write, write. Maybe iced tea, if it’s too warm in there. But tea. And snacks.
I might run into a small snag because someone might want me to go eat dinner with them. But that’s no excuse. It won’t be all night. And I can stay up late since it’s Friday night. I must write!
Do any of you feel renewed at the change of seasons? What season makes you feel rejuvenated?
Autumn also makes me feel renewed and reinvigorated. I find the change of seasons, especially this one, inspires me and motivates me to write more. Good luck getting all that writing done and have a wonderful weekend!
There’s just something about fall, isn’t there?
I drove down the street yesterday and thought the same thing… the leaves are finally falling!! Fall is here!! It made me happy. And just in time for Halloween and the trick-r-treaters. 🙂
Fall to me just feels fresh. Same with spring. My two favorite seasons.
Yes, fresh! That’s exactly it.
Been fall here for a bit now, and I love the crisp evenings it has brought with it. Such a gorgeous season.
Invigorating, isn’t it?
I feel like we didn’t get much of an autumn here at all, which is a bummer, since it’s my favorite season. Halloween turned out pretty well, though. Fairly warmer than it is today (brrrrrr, is all I have to say!), but rainy, too. Sort of the perfect autumn day! One of only three we’ve had since September, and it’ll probably start snowing, like, tomorrow. Sigh. Better luck next year, I guess…
Our autumn has been so warm, but it’s getting crisper now. It’s supposed to be really cool tonight.
I love it in the UK for the colours – it’s like the sun dribbled into the environment instead of reflecting off it, as it does in the summer (when we get sun), but I love Winter more in Dubai, but Autumn is a welcome relief as the temperatures decrease and the evenings become so much more accessible (although flying teeth nip, nip, nip)… So cool to hear your enthusiasm Lauralynn! X
I often wonder what the weather is like in other parts of the world. Where I live, there are actually four seasons, but in some places I know the temperature stays the same most of the time. I’m glad we have the changes. The leaves look awesome here right now.
I’ve gotten some writing done this weekend, so hopefully I’ll keep that enthusiasm for awhile.
I loved Autumn before I had kids in school. Now I hate it because it’s the time of year they’re likely to bring home some illness that takes weeks to recover from. 😦 Once they’re out of school, I’ll love it again. I love walking along the crunching leaves and the wonderful smell in the air. I’m looking forward to enjoying it 100% again but also know I shouldn’t wish my kids to grow up too fast. LOL
These days, I love Spring and Summer the most.
My boys are grown, so I don’t have to worry about the school thing. But I can remember those days. My biggest problem was all the things I had to take them to, or the things I had to pay for. LOL. I do miss those days, but at the same time, I’m glad to have them grown. I just miss my oldest son since he now lives an hour away. I actually got to spend most of the day with him and his lovely wife yesterday. It was a good day.
I love all the seasons for different reasons. I’m just glad we have four separate seasons here in Tennessee. Some places don’t get a lot of differences in the seasons.
