I know that some authors get up early to write and swear by it, but my brain doesn’t kick in for the first hour anyway. And the mere thought of being up before the birds awake makes me dizzy.

Perhaps you could hide in the bathroom with your laptop? Run out for an “errand” and head to a coffee shop? Stay up later? I don’t know. Best wishes with it!
